Ad Manus 손에게
Quid sunt plagae istae in medio What are these wounds in the midst
manuum tuarum? of your hands?
—Zechariah 13:6 —Zechariah 13:6
Salve Jesu, pastor bone, Hail Jesus, Good Shepherd,
Fatigatus in agone, weary with striving,
Qui per lignum es distractus torn in pieces on the wood
Et ad lignum es compactus and fastened to the wood
Expansis sanctis manibus. by your outstretched holy hands.
Manus sanctae, vos amplector Holy hands, I grasp you
Et gemendo condelector, and in groaning I delight;
Grates ago plagis tantis, I give thanks for these severe blows,
Clavis duris, guttis sanctis, for the hard nails and holy drops of blood
Dans lacrimas cum osculis. with tears and kisses.
In cruore tuo lotum Washed in your blood
Me commendo tibi totum, I entrust myself completely to you;
Tuae sanctae manus istae may your holy hands
Me defendant, Jesu Christe, defend me, Jesus Christ,
Extremis in periculis. in my final peril.
[Repeat: Quid sunt plagae istae] [Repeat: What are these wounds]
